Timing
Weekday afternoons are the calm version of every Sentosa beach club. Weekend evenings are the loud version, and the two are genuinely different products at the same address.
Sunset is between about 6.55pm and 7.15pm year-round, and it is the reason to still be there in the evening.
Rain is a real risk to a day package. An afternoon storm on Sentosa removes most of what you paid for, and beach clubs do not generally reschedule the way an attraction does. Check the forecast before committing to a dated package.
How to save
Ask whether you actually want a beach club. For most visitors the answer is no, and the free beach is the same beach.
