Let's Go Tour Singapore review: seeing the city at bicycle speed
Singapore is flat, compact and covered in park connectors, which makes it one of the better cities in Asia to see from a bicycle. Let's Go has been running bike tours out of Crawford Lane since before that was obvious.

Line-up
The tours they are known for
-
Historical Singapore Bicycle Tour
4 hrs · SGD 100 · min 2
The flagship. Four hours is enough to link districts that a walking tour has to choose between, which is the whole argument for a bike tour in a city this size.
-
Marina Bay Night Cycling Tour
2 hrs · SGD 80 · daily
The one to book if you take only one. Marina Bay after dark, at a speed that lets you actually cover the bay rather than one side of it.
-
Bike & Bites Tour
Cycling and food combined
The hybrid. Cycling between food stops solves the main problem with food tours, which is that you eat nine dishes while walking four hundred metres.
-
East Coast Bike Tour
East Coast Park
The easiest riding of the line-up. East Coast Park is a flat, continuous, traffic-free waterfront path — the least demanding introduction to cycling here.
Singapore is about 42 kilometres across at its widest and almost entirely flat. It has a park connector network that links the reservoirs, the coast and most of the housing estates, drivers who stop at lights, and paths that are signed and maintained.
It is, on paper, close to an ideal cycling city. The only real obstacle is that it sits one degree north of the equator and the daytime heat is punishing.
Let's Go Tour Singapore — travel agent licence TA02829, based at Block 462 Crawford Lane — builds its business on the first fact and works around the second.
The two headline rides
| Tour | Length | List price | Discounted rate shown | Minimum |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Historical Singapore Bicycle Tour | 4 hrs | SGD 100 | SGD 80 | 2 people |
| Marina Bay Night Cycling Tour | 2 hrs | SGD 80 | SGD 60 | 2 people |
Both display a list price alongside a lower rate. Confirm which applies to your date rather than assuming the discount is permanent.
Why a bicycle beats walking here
The argument is about coverage, and Singapore makes it better than most cities.
A three-hour walking tour covers one district. Chinatown, or Kampong Glam, or the Civic District. That is not a failing of walking tours; it is arithmetic.
A four-hour bike tour links them. You ride the Singapore River, cross into the Civic District, come down through Chinatown and out to the bay — and the connections between those areas start to make sense, because you have travelled the actual distances rather than teleported between them on the MRT.
Singapore is small enough that this works. The city centre, the river, Marina Bay, Kampong Glam and Chinatown sit inside a few square kilometres, and a bicycle is the correct tool for that scale — faster than walking, slower than a bus, and able to stop anywhere.
The night ride is the one to book
If you take a single tour from this operator, take the two-hour Marina Bay night ride.
Marina Bay was built to be looked at after dark. The Marina Bay Sands towers, the ArtScience Museum, the Helix Bridge, the Esplanade, the financial district skyline and the Supertrees across the water are all lit, and the promenade loop runs the whole way round.
Walking that loop takes well over an hour and most visitors do a third of it. Cycling it takes the loop in properly, and at 20:00 the temperature is finally reasonable.
At SGD 80, or SGD 60 at the discounted rate shown, for two hours, that is the best-value guided evening on this page.
The heat is the real constraint
Four hours of cycling at 31°C and 80% humidity is harder than four hours of cycling anywhere temperate, and people consistently underestimate it.
Two things follow. First, the night ride exists for a reason and is the easier product for most visitors. Second, if you book the four-hour historical tour, treat hydration as part of the plan rather than an afterthought — Singapore's afternoon heat has ended more tourist activities than its rain.
Fitness is rarely the issue; the island is flat. Heat management is.
What else they run
The line-up extends past cycling: walking tours, food tours, cooking classes and boat tours, with prices quoted across a SGD 60 to 135 range.
Two of the cycling variants are worth flagging:
Bike & Bites — cycling between food stops. This solves the structural problem with walking food tours, which is that you consume nine dishes while covering four hundred metres. Riding between hawker centres restores some balance to the exchange.
East Coast Bike Tour — the gentlest riding available here. East Coast Park is a flat, continuous, traffic-free waterfront path running several kilometres, and it is the right choice for anyone unsure about riding on roads.
Practical notes
Meeting point: Block 462 Crawford Lane #01-57, Singapore 190462. Near Lavender MRT (EW11/DT23), about ten minutes from Bugis.
Minimum two people on both headline tours. Solo travellers should confirm a departure exists before planning around it.
Confident riding is assumed. The tours use public roads as well as park connectors. Singapore's traffic is orderly, but it is traffic.
Ask about age limits if you are bringing children. The operator does not publish a policy.
Book the evening slot in the wet season — November to January — because the afternoon downpours are heaviest then and the night ride sits after most of them.
How it compares
Against the walking operators — The Original Singapore Walks at S$40 and Indie Singapore Tours from free are cheaper and go deeper into a single district. Cycling buys range instead of depth.
Against the hop-on hop-off buses — the bus covers more ground still, with commentary and no effort, but you see the city through glass. The bicycle is the version where you are actually in it.
Against a food tour — Monster Day Tours at S$109 for 3.5 hours does one thing thoroughly. Bike & Bites does two things at once, which suits some travellers and not others.
Balance
The verdict
What they do well
- Distance. Four hours on a bike covers ground that four hours on foot cannot, and Singapore's scale rewards that more than most cities.
- The night ride is genuinely well conceived. Marina Bay is designed to be seen after dark, and a bicycle covers the full loop in a way walking does not.
- A discounted rate is shown openly against the list price on both headline tours — SGD 80 against SGD 100, and SGD 60 against SGD 80.
- Singapore is close to ideal for this: flat, warm, well signed, with an extensive park connector network and drivers who behave.
What to check before booking
- Minimum two people on the headline tours, so solo travellers need to check whether a departure is already running.
- Four hours of cycling in tropical heat and humidity is more demanding than the distance suggests. The night ride exists partly for this reason.
- The tours use public roads as well as park connectors. Confident riding is assumed rather than taught.
- Prices are shown as a list rate and a discounted rate; confirm which one applies to your date before you budget.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
How much are the bike tours?
The four-hour Historical Singapore Bicycle Tour is listed at SGD 100 per person with a discounted rate of SGD 80, and the two-hour Marina Bay Night Cycling Tour at SGD 80 with a discounted rate of SGD 60. Both state a minimum of two people. Across the wider line-up the operator quotes SGD 60 to 135.
Is Singapore good for cycling?
Unusually good. The island is flat, the park connector network links most of the coast and the reservoirs, drivers are orderly, and the whole country is about 42 kilometres end to end. The limiting factor is heat and humidity rather than terrain or traffic.
Which tour should I book?
The Marina Bay night ride if you book one. Two hours, after dark, around a bay that was designed to be looked at when it is lit — and cycling covers the full loop in a way that walking it does not. The four-hour historical tour is the choice if you want depth rather than a highlight.
Where do the tours meet?
Block 462 Crawford Lane #01-57, Singapore 190462, near Lavender MRT on the northern edge of the city centre. It is about ten minutes from Bugis and easy to reach on the East West or Downtown lines.
Do I need to be a strong cyclist?
You need to be a competent one. Singapore is flat so fitness is rarely the issue, but the tours use public roads as well as park connectors, and comfortable road riding is assumed rather than taught. The East Coast Park route is the gentlest option.
Can children join?
Ask before booking. This is a road-and-park-connector operation rather than a closed-circuit one, and the operator does not publish an age policy, so confirm directly for anyone under about twelve.
Is it too hot to cycle in Singapore?
In the middle of the day, often yes — which is exactly why the night ride is the operator's strongest product. Early morning and after dark are the two windows when cycling here is genuinely pleasant.
What if I am travelling alone?
Both headline tours state a minimum of two people. Contact the operator before you plan your day around it, because a solo booking on a quiet date may not have a departure to join.
